17 October 2002
Members present: J. Vraa, P. Gerla (recording), H. Estenson, T. Evenson, Eunice Evenson, Darryl Paulsrud, and Jane Vigness
Minutes from the meeting held on 19 September 2002 approved without changes by the members present.
Treasurer’s report: A-savings-$10.46, D-savings-$3241.18, checking-$214.07, CD-$15,000 (matures on July 23). A check for $179 was written to North Star Insurance for liability insurance. Treasurer’s report was approved by members present.
Old and new business:
(1) Minnesota non-profit status report filed with the state. No news on the status of the deed
(2) Soil piles need to be leveled at the site. Morkens have well-rotted manure to contribute. They can load, but the group will need to try to haul it to the site by the end of the month. Work planned for 31 October, with manure hauling on 2 November.
(3) Discussed work for the near future. The members decided to level soil first, dismantle the barn, then repair north side of the cabin.
(4) Vignesses have a large tarp to cover barn logs, and John has old power poles on which to stack logs
(5) Janet G. will carefully photograph the barn, both inside and out, and e-mail photos to Darryl
(6) Discussed whether the Society should place an order for shingles from Melvin
Next meeting scheduled for 8 pm, Thursday 21 November.
Meeting adjourned at 9:17 pm.
