Minutes from the meeting held on 18 July 2002 approved without changes by the members present.
Treasurer’s report: none
Old Business:
Trees are available, free for the taking, at the Nature Conservancy’s
project site between Crookston and Mentor
$43 was paid on the Society’s insurance. $172 remains to be paid on the $222 annual premium. The insurance will cover directors and members for liability. It was moved, seconded, and approved that the Society pay the remaining $172. Todd will be asked to write a check.
New Business:
It was moved, seconded, and approved that Russ be paid $2802 for his
labor and materials used for the building slabs. Todd will be asked to
write a check.
Discussion focused on fund raisers, possibly a dinner with old time dance music and\or square dance. One possible time would be in July at Frog Point or the homestead site.
Those in attendance discussed work remaining on the cabin. Chinking needs to be removed and the front wall replaced.
Pat Rarick needs some help with the cleanup of the old building at his place (parts were used at the homestead site).
Meeting ended at 8:55. Next meeting will be held at 8 pm, Thursday September 19.
