The Society will ask Nancy Newcomb if she will include a link to the Society's page on the Climax Schools web page.

The Society will serve the supper at Small Town Saturday Night on the second Saturday of July. Keith Dale has a new barbeque and we will ask if we can borrow it for the supper. Entertainment plans were briefly discussed.

Discussed volunteer labor, equipment, and supplies list for 2002. All help and donations are greatly appreciated!

The order with Melvin Johnson from East Grand Forks for wood barn shingles was discussed. Shingles need to be ready for next summer.

The work done late this fall was discussed. Estenson barn was photographed, logs labeled, disassembled, and hauled to the new site, then arranged according to labeled logs in four sections and evaluated for which logs need work or replacement. More straight trees were cut from the Keith Dale woods and piled for future use.

Polk Co. Museum will be running their sawmill on June 14 for demonstrations. If we help them and haul our trees, then they will cut lumber for free.

New Business: Discussed plaques for the buildings; one for the cabin and one for the barn, along with a historical frame and enclosure for the inside of the barn.. If we have a community assistant funded for the summer, perhaps the assitant can work on this.

Discussed the matter of picking up the shingles. Motion and second to pay Melvin Johnson for the shingles. Approved. The Treasurer wrote and handed the check ($800) to Melvin. Someone will need to pick the shingles up and bring them to Climax this week. Melvin's address is 19590 County Hwy 72 SW, EGF.

Melvin and June sold tickets and entry badges for the EGF Hertiage Days.

Phil gave a short summary on the Society's grant application for a summer student community assistant.

The logo design was discussed. With a few modifications, Jane's original design was favored over the one provided by the design artist.

The next meeting will be held at 7 pm, Thursday 20 March.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
