History and People

The Sand Hill Settlement Historical Society was established in 2000, reorganized from the long-inactive Old Settlers Memorial Association. The Society meets monthly at the library in Climax, Minnesota, a small community about 60 miles north of Fargo, North Dakota and near the confluence of the Sand Hill River and the Red River of the North. Shown below are some photographs of the original members, taken in 2001.
